Water and Sewer Billing

The Town of Amesbury is now on a QUARTERLY (every 3 months) Billing Cycle.

PLEASE NOTE: As of February, 2009 our water is no longer fluoridated.

To open a new account, change an existing account, arrange for shut off and turn on, to make an appointment for meter installation or questions regarding your bill please contact Denise Toleos in the Water Billing Dept. at (978) 388-8119 or by e-mail at denise@amesburyma.gov.

The current water/sewer rates are:
Water Rate (per 100 cu. ft.) : $ 5.20
Sewer Rate (per 100 cu. ft.) : $ 5.60

A minimum bill of $81.00 per 750 cu. ft. is as follows: water $39.00 and sewer $42.00. This is the lowest bill that you will receive for water and sewer for a 3 month period.

An unexpected increase in usage may be a sign of a water leak. If your meter is failing it will either slow down or stop completely - it CAN NOT increase speed resulting in increased usage.
