Amesbury Cultural Council

Mission
Our goal is to help foster and promote the cultural enjoyment and enrichment of our citizens through local and regional arts and culture events and programs.

What do we do?

The Cultural Council solicits grant requests, selects grant recipients, and awards grant funds made available annually from the Massachusetts Cultural Council for the funding of artistic and cultural projects and programs in and around Amesbury.

The Cultural Council also organizes the annual Amesbury Open Studio Tour. This year's tour dates are November 13 and November 14.
Note for artists: The artist exhibitor application is attached and the deadline is September 30. The application deadline is earlier this year to allow more time for promotion and brochure production.

When do we meet?

The Cultural Council typically meets the second Thursday of the month at the Amesbury Cultural Center; for our specific meeting dates visit the Calendar of Events.

What's going on now?

There are many events coming this fall. Check the Calendar of Events for the green "Community Event" entries for listings, descriptions, and links to details.

Applications are being submitted now for the Open Studio Tour. The deadline as described above is September 30.

If you are applying for an LCC grant for 2011, be sure to pick up or print out an LCC grant application now (click here) - the state-mandated deadline for submitting your grant application is October 15.

Want to get involved?

The Amesbury Cultural Council is seeking new members; if interested you can obtain an application from this website's Boards and Commissions page and/or send email to our co-chairs for more information.
