City buildings will begin to re-open on Monday, June 8th. Each building has a different plan or timeline, so please check below for details. We encourage people to continue to interact with us online rather than in-person, and that information can also be found below.

City Hall will re-open on June 8th by appointment only. Please call to make an appointment with the appropriate department. Upon arrival, you will need to wait outside and call to let that department know you have arrived. Someone will come get you, and everyone will have their temperature taken (no contact) before entering the building. Everyone will need to wear a mask to enter.

The Assessor's Office has resumed inspections as required by the MA Department of Revenue. Residents may get a visit from an Assessor, or can schedule an appointment if needed.

The due date for property tax bills in Amesbury is being postponed from May 1st to June 1, 2020. All interest associated with excise tax, personal property, real estate and water and sewer bills dated March 10th or beyond will be waived until June 30, 2020. After June 30th accrued interest will be applied retroactively, interest will be applied moving forward, and residents will be expected to pay in full.

Residents can continue to pay bills online, by mail or by dropping off payment to our secure drop box in front of City Hall. All online payments can be made here: https://unipaygold.unibank.com/customerinfo.aspx
