DID YOU GET THE NEW 2017-2018 RECYCLING AND WASTE INFORMATION GUIDE?

This annual guide gives residents information on how and where to get rid of unwanted items, special collections taking place throughout the year and the 2017-2018 Recycling calendar. If you did not receive one, please call the office at 978-388-8116.

Fall Yard and Leaf Curbside Collection

Saturdays:  November 18 and December 2, 2017

Place yard and leaf waste in paper leaf bags or loose in a marked barrel at the curb. Bags/barrels must be at the curb by 6:30 a.m. and contain only leaves and grass clippings. No plastic bags or branches.

Television Recycling 

1) BoxQ in Georgetown accepts TV, computers and other electronics. Located at 97 Tenney Street, Georgetown, MA. Please call first to get fee info,  directions and hours before you go. 1-877-499-2697. Visit them on the web at boxq.net.

2) Best Buy in Portsmouth 603-431-1269 or Salem, NH 603-890-9002 to confirm cost and any special arrangements before go. Most charge $25 per TV and no more than 2 accepted at one time. Call before you go!

While specific details vary by location and state, some Best Buys accept tube televisions with screen sizes of 32 inches or less, projectors, LCD televisions with screen sizes of less than 60 inchyes and portable televisions for reycling. The program typically does not accept front-or-rear projection televisions, any device with exposed cathode ray tubes, or tube televisions with screen sizes larger than 32 inches.

MISSED PICK-UP

Please have trash and recycling out at the curb by 6:30 a.m. the day of collection. Drivers, weather and schedules are subject to change. For recycling please check the schedule and make sure you have the correct week.
